OK I would like to get some constructive input in regards to the pond filter design i'd like to build.

Let me explain the picture.

I will create a pot in which the main inlet is placed into the bottom of the waterfalls pot.

There will be a screen to rest the filter media on

Water fills the pot and is filtered through the filter media which will be held down by a large rock or rocks.
