I am interested in purchasing a pond kit and would a practical comparison between the 2 modles made by American pond kits.  I can see the technical spec differences and the price difference, but what would be the practical difference for a guy who wants a nice pond for my back yard city lot?

OK I would like to get some constructive input in regards to the pond filter design i'd like to build.

I will create a pot in which the main inlet is placed into the bottom of the waterfalls pot.

Water fills the pot and is filtered through the filter media which will be held down by a large rock or rocks.

If you are planning to light a large water garden or feature you will most likely use lighting that requires standard voltages. It is very important that all electrical systems used for landscaping purposes have a circuit breaker and are protected with a GFI plug (ground fault interrupter). These safety features will cut the power to the pond if there is any problem.
