For those of you who have to deal with old man winters wrath. Heres what I do; I use a portable garage unit with a semitranceparant cover (to let light in) and build me a green house over my pond for the winter. This keeps it from icing over and allows me to go see my fishes in the middle of winter . Great pick me up when they come to surface to say hi. I will include a picture when figure out how to do it ;)

Can I help?
I'd love to help you get the pictures on the site if you wish. I also still have the pictures on file with the write up you did last winter on your winterizing procedures. I'd like to encourage you to post those in the "My Blog" section. (which is your blog / pond journal)
People in northern climates can really learn from what you've done and those in the south can be thankful they don't have to worry about it.
